Harbour cleared of roots
12 September 2015

Some members are keen! Our lighthouse has had a coat of paint and we are debating whether it was elves or a dedicated member who did it.

We got to the Club a little earlier and took advantage of the water level being down and cut some of those pesky roots that were blocking the harbour. What a difference! The harbour now has more usable space and when the water does come back up it will make a big difference.

It was a great day on the water with some gusts of wind to confound the sailors and some calm patches to please the scale boaters.

We have had our share of funny times with boats having glitches and getting stuck on the water, but this weekend was quite something with the high number of boats having issues and needing to be rescued.

Nonetheless we all enjoyed ourselves and had some good chats too.

Looking forward to the next one with lights on the water.

Regards,

GMBC
